兵庫県の重要無形民俗文化財、国の無形民俗文化財に指定されているねっていずもうは、なんでも繰り返すことを「練って、練って」と表し、相撲が所作である足踏みを繰り返すことからこの名が付きました。相撲といっても勝ち負けを決めるようなものではなく、掛け声をかけながら一定の所作を繰り返すので、土俵がなければ行司もいません。地元の人たちに大切に愛されているイベントです。
