皆生温泉は「塩の温泉」と呼ばれており、神経痛やリウマチ、皮膚病などに効果があると言われています。1900年頃に浅瀬に湧き出していた熱湯を地元の漁師が偶然にも発見したことが、皆生温泉の始まりです。
