四天王寺 / Shitennoji Temple

今から1400年以上前の推古天皇元年に建立された四天王寺は何度も戦火や災害に見舞われ、ほとんどが焼失しました。創建当時の様式を忠実に再現して再建された現在の建物は、古代の貴重な建築様式を多く残しています。

Shitennoji Temple, which was built in the first year of Empress Suiko’s reign more than 1400 years ago, was hit by war and disaster many times and almost burned down. The current buildings, which were faithfully reproduced and rebuilt in the style of the original construction, retain many valuable ancient architectural styles.
