越後国一宮として古くから信仰される神社。境内には国宝や重要文化財が多数あり、豊かな自然に囲まれています3。御祭神は天照大神の曾孫である天香山命で、越後国開拓の祖神として崇敬されました。初詣には毎年20万人以上の参拝者が訪れます。
Shrine is the oldest shrine in Echigo Province and has long been worshipped as the first shrine of Echigo Province. The shrine is surrounded by rich nature and has many national treasures and important cultural properties. The deity is Amakayama-no-mikoto, the great-grandson of Amaterasu, who was revered as the founder of Echigo-Tsumari. More than 200,000 people visit the shrine every year for Hatsumode (New Year's visit).
