新潟県上越市の桜まつり。4月上旬から下旬にかけて開催されます。高田城跡に造られた高田公園と周辺に約4000本の桜が咲き誇り、お堀に映る桜の景色は圧巻。夜はライトアップされて幻想的な雰囲気に。桜まつり期間中は、武者行列や茶会、コンサートなどのイベントも開催される。日本三大夜桜のひとつとしても知られます。
