新潟県長岡市の夏祭りのメインイベント。信濃川河川敷で約20000発の花火が打ち上げられ、迫力と美しさに感動する人々で賑わいます。花火の種類も多彩で、大型スターマインや音楽と連動した花火、水中花火などが楽しめます。
特に最後に打ち上げられる「鳳凰」は、直径約650メートルの巨大な花火で、日本一の大きさを誇ります。
