亀山城跡は天正18年に岡本宗憲によって築かれました。天守は修復を命じられた堀尾忠晴が誤って解体してしまったという言い伝えがあります。また「多門櫓」は三重県で唯一現存している遊郭建造物として、有形文化財に指定されています。
Kameyama Castle Ruins was built by Okamoto Munenori in 1590. There is a legend that Horio Tadaharu, who was ordered to restore the castle tower, accidentally dismantled it. Also, the “Tamonyagura” is the only existing brothel building in Mie Prefecture and is designated as a tangible cultural property.
