入水して亡くなった安徳天皇を祀る赤間神宮は、平家の武将たちが霊として琵琶法師の芳一の前に現れる怪談「耳なし芳一」の舞台としても有名です。境内には平家一門の墓石なども残されており、パワースポットととも言われています。
