四国といえば、やはり「四国八十八か所霊場」。お遍路のスタート地点である1番札所霊山寺徳島は「一番さん」と呼ばれています。
武天皇の勅願道場として行基が創建したといわれ、一年中白装束のお遍路さんで賑わっています。 1番札所の札がかかる仁王門をくぐると鯉が泳ぐ池があり、大師堂や本堂などが立ち並びます。
