室町時代に日和佐肥前守が築城したという説があるが、日和佐城についての史料があまり残っていない為不明な点が多いです。
城山の山頂に位置し、町のどこからでも見ることのできる白亜の天守は、日和佐勤労者野外活動施設として建設されました。
最上階の展望室からは町を一望できます。

It is located at the top of Washiga Oka, which is over 500m above sea level, and the white castle tower that can be seen from anywhere in the town was built as an outdoor activity facility for Hiwasa workers. You can overlook the town from the observation room on the top floor.
