織田信長に天下統一の拠点として築かれた安土城は、築城からわずか6年余りで原因不明の放火などによって焼失しました。天主があった山頂までは上ることができ、城跡に残された石垣や多数の曲輪からは、当時の荘厳さを感じることができます。
