武内宿禰の長寿に由来して名付けられた長命寺は、麓から本堂までの808段の石段が有名です。長い石段を上ったあとに見えるのは美しく重なり合う諸堂。溜まった石段の疲れが吹っ飛んでしまうほどの絶景です。車道も整備されていますが、石段を登って参拝に向かうことをおすすめします。

What you see after climbing the long stone steps are the beautiful overlapping buildings. The scenery is so breathtaking that it makes you forget the fatigue of the stone steps. There is also a road for cars, but we recommend climbing the stone steps and heading to the worship.
