幕末維新期の歴史的価値のある佐賀城跡にある、この佐賀城公園。「日本の歴史公園100選」の一つに選ばれています。 濠端に樹齢300年を超える大クスが並び、佐賀城跡を取り囲むように桜並木が咲いています。 園内には博物館や美術館県立図書館などの文化施設も充実しています。

Saga Castle Park is located on the site of Saga Castle, which has historical value from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji Restoration. It is one of the “100 Best Historical Parks in Japan”. There are large camphor trees over 300 years old along the moat, and cherry blossoms line the site of Saga Castle. The park also has cultural facilities such as museums, art museums, and prefectural libraries.
