日本三大朝市のひとつに数えられており、朝7時30分から12時まで毎日開かれています。
約200ｍの朝市通りには50軒近くの露店が並び、獲れたての魚介類干物や野菜、果物などの食べ物だけでなく、生花や陶器なども売られています。
