ガタリンピックとは、昭和60年から続く広大な有明海の干潟を利用した干潟の上で行う泥んこ運動会です。ガタスキー競走や宝探し、干潟を自転車で渡るガタチャリなど8種目のユニークな競技が盛りだくさんです。
日本全国、海外から留学生約10カ国も参加し、参加者は毎年2000人、観客動員数は約35,000人にも上るの大イベントとなっています。

There are many unique events such as gata ski race, treasure hunt, gata chari where you cross the tidal flats by bicycle, and so on.
