大浦神社の秋季例大祭はその昔、細川通董公が神幸行事として40頭の神馬を参列させたのが始まりと言われています。現在の秋季例大祭では、競馬定式で選ばれた2頭の神馬がご奉仕しています。また秋季例大祭では境内を駆け抜けていく大迫力の神馬を間近で見ることができます。
