現存する九州最古の木造建築の富貴寺大堂は国宝指定されていて、宇治の平等院鳳凰堂、平泉の中尊寺金色堂と並ぶ日本三阿弥陀堂のひとつであります。
平安時代に宇佐神宮大宮司の氏寺として開かれた由緒ある寺院です。
The existing oldest wooden building in Kyushu, Fukiji Temple Hall, is designated as a national treasure and is one of the three Amida halls in Japan, along with Uji Byodoin Phoenix Hall and Hiraizumi Chusonji Konjikido. It is a venerable temple that was opened as a family temple of Usa Jingu Shrine’s chief priest during the Heian period.
