法隆寺 / Horyuji Temple

世界最古の木造建築といわれる法隆寺は、607年に建てられました。1316年後の1923年には日本初の世界文化遺産に登録され、有名な観光スポットとして多くの人々が訪れています。五重塔や中門の左右にそびえたつ金剛力士像は大迫力で、息をのむような荘厳さを感じることができます。

Horyuji Temple, which is said to be the oldest wooden structure in the world, was built in 607. In 1923, 1316 years later, it became Japan’s first World Cultural Heritage site and is visited by many people as a famous tourist spot. The five-storied pagoda and the Kongo Rikishi statues towering on the left and right of the Nakamon gate are very powerful and you can feel a breathtaking solemnity.
