地球上に生息するペンギン18種類のうちキング、イワトビ、マカロニ、ジェンツーなどの9種約170羽を飼育していて、その7割以上がここで生まれた長崎生まれのペンギン達です。
国内最大級の大きさの水槽ではペンギンが空を飛ぶ鳥のように泳ぐ様子が見られます。
