東北三大祭りの一つにも数えられる伊達政宗の時代から長く続くお祭りです。吹き流しや仕掛け物などたくさんの豪華絢爛な笹飾りが飾ってあり、見るだけで涼しくなるようなお祭りです。前夜祭では花火大会も行われ、盛大に祭りが始まります。
