鬼ヶ城は2004年にユネスコの「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」の一部、「構成資産」として世界遺産に登録されました。荒波によって削られた凝灰岩の岩壁が不規則な模様を織りなし、遠目から見ても圧倒的な迫力が感じられます。
