社伝では奈良時代の創建ともいわれている古社。
本殿・幣殿・拝殿の3棟は、いずれも国の重要文化財に指定されています。
海から参道につながっており、「日本三景」の1つ、安芸の宮島になぞらえ、「土佐の宮島」との異名を持ちます。
An old shrine that is said to have been founded in the Nara period according to the shrine tradition. The three buildings of the main hall, the heiden, and the haiden are all designated as important cultural properties of the country. It is connected to the sea by a road, and is nicknamed “Miyajima of Tosa” after Aki’s Miyajima, one of the “three scenic spots of Japan”.
