毎年選ばれた中学2年生の男子が射手を務め、狩衣装束にあやい笠を身に纏い四十九所神社で、約330mの馬場を3回駆け抜け、合計9本の矢を放ちます。
町中心部に位置する高山橋河川敷広場では、魚のつかみ取りやえっがね（伊勢海老）、味噌汁の無料配布や肝付町特産品の販売など様々なイベントが行われ、町内外から多くの人々が訪れるイベントとなっています。
Every year, a selected second-year junior high school boy serves as the archer, wearing a hunting costume and a straw hat, and runs through the 330m horse track three times at the Shijusho Shrine, shooting a total of nine arrows. At the Takayama Bridge riverside plaza in the center of the town, various events are held such as fish catching, ebbane (spiny lobster), free distribution of miso soup and sale of Kimo-tsuki town specialty products. It is an event that attracts many people from inside and outside the town.
