色鮮やかな装飾を付けた馬たちが盛岡八幡宮まで約14キロの道のりを、チャグチャグと鈴の音を響かせ行進します。
このお祭りは使役に使われる馬に感謝し、一年に一度飾りたてその労をねぎらうのが目的です。
