青もみじとは、紅葉になる前のまだ緑の状態のもみじのことで、夏ごろ頭上を覆う青もみじを見上げながら練り歩くことができます。昼間に見る青もみじも涼やかですが、期間中は19時から20時まで一部の青もみじがライトアップされ、紅葉とは一味違った雰囲気を楽しむことができます。昼と夜の空気の違いを感じることができる人気のイベントです。
