天赦園 / Tenshaen

伊達政宗ゆかりの命名、幕末の国事斡旋の舞台ともなった大名庭園で、国の名勝に指定されています。 園内には、伊達家の“竹に雀”にちなんで珍らしい十数種類の竹が、また、伊達家の姓である“藤原姓”にちなんで多くの藤が植えられています。

A feudal lord’s garden named after Date Masamune, which was also the stage of national mediation in the late Edo period. It is designated as a scenic spot of the country. In the garden, there are rare bamboo species related to the Date family’s “sparrow on bamboo”, and many wisteria related to the Date family’s surname “Fujiwara”.
