春になればソメイヨシノを始めとした約1000本の桜が爛漫と咲き誇り、桜の名所としても有名です。展望台からは、瀬戸内の島々が一望できるます。
夜には夜桜用にちょうちんも灯され、公園内には大きな滑り台などもあり、ご家族で楽しめる公園になっています。
