西条まつりは、江戸時代から続く西条市の伝統的な秋祭りです。
約150台余りの屋台(だんじり、太鼓台)やみこしが奉納されるこのまつりは、神社の4つの例祭の総称です。
祭りでは細工を凝らした屋台が並び、太鼓や鉦、人々祭ばやしの声が町中に響き渡ります。そのさまは「豪華絢爛」と形容されることが多く、毎年多くの観光客が訪れます。
