1970年に前身の愛媛県立美術館として開館し、1階から3階までは県民ギャラリー、県民アトリエ、ふれあいアートセンターがなどがあります。
南館には国内では珍しい利用者各自のペースで自由に創作活動に専念できるアトリエスペースが設置してあり、見るだけでなく自分で創って遊ぶこともできます。
Opened in 1970 as the predecessor of the Ehime Prefectural Museum of Art, the first to third floors have facilities such as the Prefectural Gallery, Prefectural Atelier, and Fureai Art Center. The south building has an atelier space where users can freely concentrate on creative activities at their own pace, which is rare in Japan. You can not only see but also create and play by yourself.
