10月下旬から3月下旬にかけて霧に包まれることが多い大洲市では、晴れた日の早朝に小高い山に登れば、雲海を見ることができます。そんな雲海を楽しむイベントがこの「雲海まつり」です。
祭りでは、。軟らかく煮込まれたしし鍋や搾りたて牛乳の販売、甘酒や紙風船飛ばし、もちまきも行われています。地元の皆さんのおもてなしに心温まります。
