厚狭の寝太郎物語で有名な「寝太郎さん」の偉業を偲んで行われる寝太郎まつりは、当日寝太郎権現像が開帳され、実際に見ることができます。そのほかにも寝太郎太鼓やフリーマーケット、福引き大会など、様々な催しが行われ盛り上がっています。プログラムの最後には餅まき大会が開催され、地域全体が一体となって賑わっています。
